Shakar Para

Ingredients

  • 270g Gluten-Free Guru plain baking flour
  • ⁠4 tablespoons ghee/oil
  • ⁠pinch of salt
  • ⁠80mls warm water
  • ⁠100g sugar
  • ⁠oil for frying

Method

  1. Mix salt and flour
  2. Rub in ghee/oil
  3. Warm the water, dissolve sugar in it
  4. Add sugar water to flour mixture to form dough
  5. Let dough rest for 20-30 minutes
  6. Roll out and cut into small squares
  7. Fry till golden brown
  8. Thy will crisp as they cool down
  9. Store in airtight container
