GFG Shakar Para

Ingredients

  • 270g Gluten-Free Guru plain baking flour
  • ⁠4 tablespoons ghee/oil
  • ⁠pinch of salt
  • ⁠80mls warm water
  • ⁠100g sugar
  • ⁠oil for frying

Method

  1. Mix salt and flour
  2. Rub in ghee/oil
  3. Warm the water, dissolve sugar in it
  4. Add sugar water to flour mixture to form dough
  5. Let dough rest for 20-30 minutes
  6. Roll out and cut into small squares
  7. Fry till golden brown
  8. Should become crispy as they cool down
  9. Dust lightly with sieved icing sugar to decorate
  10. Store in airtight container
