GFG Prawns in Batter
Ingredients
1kg prawns
3 cups plain GFG flour
1 tsp garlic
1 tsp oil
1tsp baking powder
1 tsp vinegar
½ lemon squeezed
Salt/pepper
Oil for frying
Method
Wash and dry prawns on kitchen towel
Marinate prawns in non metallic dish in salt, pepper, garlic and lemon juice for ½ hour
Add oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, baking powder to GFG flour, add water to make a runny batter
Leave batter to rise or ½ hour
Coat prawns in batter and deep fry in hot oil until golden brown
Serve with chilly sauce or mango coriander chutney
