GFG Crunchy Mitha Thepla/Mathri

Ingredients

  • 3 cup GFG plain flour
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1 mug plus 1 tbs brown sugar
  • Freshly ground cardamom
  • Oil for frying
  •  Sesame seeds for garnish

Method

  1. Mix cream, brown sugar and cardamon and stir well.
  2. Add GFG flour.
  3. Knead lightly till dough binds.
  4. Divide into 3 portions.
  5. Roll out each portion flat, less than 1cm thick.
  6. Sprinkle sesame seeds.
  7. Flatten lightly.
  8. Cut diamond shapes or round, depending on preference.
  9. Deep fry till evenly browned.
  10. Enjoy with tea.
